Maria Menounos

Maria was helping her mother who had stages four of brain cancer. She discovered that she was suffering from a serious health situation. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She has told PEOPLE that she had been suffering from headaches, lightheadedness and nausea since February 2014. My speech was getting slurred, and I had difficulties understanding the teleprompter. Menounos had been diagnosed as having a massive meningioma brain tumor. A MRI confirmed the diagnosis. Menounos set an appointment meet her mother's neurosurgeon Dr. Keith L. Black. The surgeon scheduled the surgery on June 8 for Menounos' 39th birthday. Dr. Black stated that the tumor was 98 percent harmless. We won't know that when they've reached that point. Dr. Black managed to eliminate 99.9% of benign tumors through a procedure that took 7 hours. She says that Dr. Black said it was possible to see the tumor come back in six-to seven percent of cases. However, I'll consider these odds any day of the week. Menounos has been home since an inpatient stay of six days. She is currently recuperating and enjoying her time with Litsa and her mom. Litsa's recent MRI confirms that she is unaffected by cancer. Maria Maria Maria
